Sunshine does funny things to me. I’m not one of those people thats bothered by bad weather, but nice weather, it’s like my crack. I get bouncier, and happier, and friendlier as soon as the sun comes out.
We’ve finally gotten some summer weather around here, and the only thing I’ve wanted to do all week is sit outside with a glass of wine. But because of school I haven’t had the chance.
But last night I didn’t have school, and had kind of a lightbulb moment.
Which is how this conversation happened.
Because seriously, why wouldn’t you stop at the liquor store during a run?
The store was packed, and there I was, the picture of class, with sweat pouring down my face, and my iPhone sticking out of my sports bra. Obviously I ran into people I knew, but really, no one who knows me is ever surprised by my antics.
What really made the whole thing worthwhile, was the 1.5 km run to my parents house with a bottle of wine in my hand (those suckers are heavier than you’d think btw). I expected weird looks, but I actually got a lot of smiles and nods. People were friendlier than they usually are when I run by. Clearly it’s because I look so much more fun when carrying booze.
It was pretty much the perfect plan. I got my wine, my run, and some sunshine all in one go. Obviously, it was the only logical thing to do.

You inspire me.
Multi-tasking at it’s finest.
Sometimes I stop at the bank when I’m on a walk…so why not the liquor store on a run? It’s all about efficiency, right?
Love it.
Have a great weekend Leah!
It’s like you were running with weights. Resistence training as an added bonus!
Funny, that’s EXACTLY what I said to the girl at the liquor store while I was paying.
Haha! I would love to see you running with that bottle of wine. It would make my day!
BAHAHAHAHA!!!! It’s good to plan ahead.
Yours just happen to be the most awesomest plan ever.
<3
HAHAHA!! You are such a trip!
OMG this is the best idea EVER!
Haha, I love it. Very effective way of killing two birds with one stone…you’re a smart lady.
You are my hero. That is all.
I’m so glad I chose today to come back to reading blogs b/c if I had missed this one, my life would have never been the same. I love you and these antics. I agree with Molly. You’re my hero.
