Standard

This weekend was pretty standard. As always, I spent most of it doing homework, and trying to catch up. I spent most of Friday night trying to get through all my reading, and study for the two tests I have this week. Eventually Lexie got annoyed with me though, and demanded that I pay attention to her instead.

I won’t even pretend like I wasn’t happy to have a distraction.

I feel like I’ve been putting in as little effort as possible this semester, and it’s starting to show. I’m behind on pretty much everything, and it’s not good. I have no idea how I’m going to catch up before finals, but I think any chance of having a life between now and then is pretty much shot to hell.

I did manage to get out of the house for awhile on Saturday though. My friend Kelly and I had big plans to see Magic Mike, and I don’t care how much homework I have to do, seeing that movie was mandatory.

True story, about two hours before it was time to leave, Kelly sent me this text:

Another true story, before Kelly sent me that I was trying to decide just how little effort I could put in without her bugging me about it. I did get dressed for her, but just barely. I managed to refrain from wearing yoga pants though, so I feel like that’s good enough.

The movie was fantastic. The story was decent enough, but the movie . . . it was magical. My only complaint is that Channing Tatum didn’t have enough stripping scenes, because seriously, that man is freaking talented. They didn’t even need a story, he could have just danced around for an hour and a half and I would have watched it.

If you haven’t seen it yet, you must. It is glorious.
