Early Riser

I got up at 5:05 am this morning. I did level 3 of Ripped in 30 for the fourth day in a row. (In case you’re wondering, level 3 is crazy and I love it. The first time I tried it I pretty much laughed hysterically the whole way through. One legged squats? HAHAHA you mean without falling on my face? Yah . . . ok.)

Anyhow, If this post doesn’t make any sense, now you know why.

Yesterday started out really well. Like I said, I was up at 5am to workout, but because I was up an hour early to do a half hour workout, I had time to make a good breakfast. I decided to have scrambled eggs on pancakes.

It isnt a pretty meal, but it sure is delicious.

Then, I got to truly celebrate the fall season by wearing my brand new boots to work (that I bought 50% off).

And thats where the good times ended.

By 10:30 I was sitting on the floor in the office asking my boss if it was too early to start drinking. Yes, when Im frustrated I sit on the floor. Whatever, Im a professional.

I went straight from work to class, so I didnt get to eat dinner until late. On a day when Im already an emotional disaster, thats really not the best idea.

When I got home, I was about 30 seconds from killing the next person that spoke to me, so I threw together a super fast dinner inspired by Jessica’s Caprese Quiona.

With the exception of the quinoa, all the ingredients you see here came from my parents kitchen. :)

Dinner was amazing, and almost made up for the crap day I had. Almost.

I spent the rest of the evening on the couch, curled up with a blanket, a dog and a giant glass of wine.

If that doesnt cure all your troubles I dont know what will.
