My last class was 19 days ago, and that was a final that only took an hour to write. Before that, I hadn’t had a class for two weeks. Let’s take a second to think about how long that is, because it’s a really long time.
Today, school starts again and I couldn’t be more relieved.
Seriously, I have been so bored.
I’ve spent the last year of my life in school, and I’ve gotten pretty used to always having something to do. Having this much time off is making me crazy. I mean, once you’ve organized your kitchen, bedroom, and your bathroom, what else is there left to do?
Watching TV gets boring after awhile.
And there are only so many glasses of wine you can drink.
Fortunately, I haven’t had to drink all the wine alone. My friends seem to be more than willing to join me.
But after awhile you just get to that point of such extreme boredom that the only thing there is left to do is lay on your bed with the dog and texting your friends to complain about how far away bedtime is.
It’s not a good situation.
Which is why I’m glad that today it all ends. As of this afternoon, I am back in school and soon enough I’ll be overwhelmed with all the stuff I have to get done, and my complete lack of spare time.
I can’t wait.

I get bored when I’m not at work. I need structure, routine, etc.
Cheers to a New Year!
I sometimes wonder if I need more structure. I lead a really lazy existence… Hope you have a good first day!
Isn’t it funny that it seems to be one extreme or the other? I hate having absolutely nothing to do. Sitting around in bed/on the couch all day makes me fidgety…
I am happy YOU are happy about going back to class!
I would like a day of boredom like that, so I can read and nap!
I go back to Nail school today too….i really don’t want to…
and I really liked having nothing to do besides whining about how far the bedroom is from the couch…hahaha <3 I'm happy, that you're happy.
As much as I complain about having so much to do there is no way I could just sit at home. I need structure and routine!!
The best part about this is that it means that (even if it can be stressful), you’re enjoying school, which is awesome! Glad you’re getting back into your routine!
That is such GREAT NEWS! I remember your posts before you started school. You were so worried about “doing it all” and look at you, you have conquered it. It is your b*tch.
I’m 42. That is the ONLY time I will ever use that saying and maybe will never use it again. You are an amazing woman!
Yay for school! I have a hard time being idle too. I tend to just pace around the house. Drives the hubby crazy.
I think that’s why I keep on going back to school! I’m already planning for my phd! Thank you for sharing your back to school excitement! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Stay warm!
